An Evansville man was arrested early this (Friday) morning on theft and resisting charges.
            Evansville Police arrived at a south side church where a burglary in progress call was reported.  They saw 41 year old Kenneth Ray Hurtz allegedly fleeing from the building and was captured after a short foot chase.
            Police say Hurtz may have been in the process of stealing a $13,000 air conditioning unit from the roof.  The same church had been the victim of a similar theft recently and had just replaced the unit.
            Police are looking to see if Hurtz might have been responsible for other thefts in the area.
