One person was arrested and another is on the loose after a theft attempt early this (Tuesday) morning in Daviess County.
            Daviess County Sheriff’s Department received a call at 4:45am at a business on Vincent Station Road where employees noticed a vehicle on the lot and suspects running into a wooded area.
            A deputy saw 26 year old Christopher Smith of Owensboro allegedly leaving the scene.  He was arrested and charged with theft by unlawful taking parts from a vehicle and possession of marijuana.
            The vehicle on the lot belongs to Joshua Caleb Eckstein.  He was not located but is being sought by the Daviess County Sheriff’s Department.
