City of Dawson Springs Receives Grant for Baseball Field Project
The City of Dawson Springs will be sharing part of over 500 thousand dollars in grant money to help in the City Park Baseball Field Project. Seventy-five thousand dollars is coming thanks to a State Land and Water Conservation Fund grant to help fund recreational and tourism projects across the commonwealth. The money is a matching grant, allocated by the National Park Service. Other area recipients include the City of Pembroke in Christian County, which is receiving 21 thousand for playground equipment, as well as almost fifty thousand to the Union County Fiscal Court for their Caseyville Boat Dock Area Enhancement Project. The City of Henderson is also getting just over forty thousand to help improve their East End Park.
