Crash on I-69 in Hopkins County Wednesday Injures Driver
A driver of a semi was injured after crashing his rig on I-69 in Hopkins County this (Wednesday) morning. According to the Hopkins County Sheriff’s Office, Michael Avery was near the 104 mile marker when a deer reportedly entered his lanes, causing him to swerve into the median. His tractor trailer travelled about a half mile in the median before striking a guardrail then down an embankment. Avery was transported to Regional Medical Center for his injuries. The southbound lanes of the interstate were shut down for about two hours following the 3:37am crash.
