Daviess County Crash Saturday Morning Causes Traffic Problems

A Saturday morning crash in Daviess County caused one injury and a lot of traffic problems.
At 9:20am, the Daviess County Sheriff’s Office reports Anthony Campbell of Batrop, Louisiana was operating an 18-wheeler on Highway 554 when he encountered a volunteer group pick up trash along the road.  As Campbell tried to stay as far right as possible, the edge of the road gave way and forced his load into a two inch ditch.  His semi, loaded empty bottles, bound for Glenmore Distillery, overturned.
Campbell, and his wife, Linda Batrop, were both treated at the scene for minor injuries.
The Kentucky Transportation Department reported the road reopened just after 5:00pm.
