An arrest Friday afternoon in Earlington landed a man in jail on drug charges.
            According to the Hopkins County Sheriff’s Department, a search warrant was executed at 401 Johnson Avenue.  Inside, deputies found 45 year old Jamie L Martin.  He was found to be in alleged possession of a handgun, several packages of synthetic cannabinoid packaged for sale and digital scales.
            Martin was charged with possession of a handgun by a convicted felon and trafficking in synthetic cannabinoid.
            He was lodged in the Hopkins County Jail.
