An Elkton Police officer was injured while working a non-injury accident this (Thursday) morning.
            Kentucky State Police reports 36 year old Brian Atkinson was on US 68 East investigating a two vehicle crash.  As he was pushing one of the vehicles off the road, he was struck by a vehicle driven by 50 year old Richard Seay of Elkton.  Officer Atkinson was knocked into the pavement.
            He was transported to Jennie Stuart Medical Center with multiple injuries.
            Seay received minor injuries but refused treatment.
            The collision is still under investigation.
