Hopkins County Schools Talent Show Winners Announced
Blade Byrum of Southside Elementary won 1st place in the Hopkins County Schools Talent Show Series District Competition on Tuesday, April 30. He performed a drum solo.
The competition was sponsored by Madisonville Community College Lions Club and hosted by Glema Mahr Center for the Arts.
Vera Fischer, a West Broadway student who gave a vocal performance, was 2nd place. Landon Harris, a Jesse Stuart student who performed a piano solo, was 3rd place.
Sean Radford, a Jesse Stuart student, served as master of ceremonies. Avery Hulse of Grapevine won a scholarship to the Glema Center’s Summer Arts Academy.
The Middle School/High School District Competition will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 7, at Glema Mahr Center for the Arts.
