A Hanson woman was arrested this (Thursday) morning after claims she abused her mother while in her care.
            The Hopkins County Sheriff’s Department arrested 49 year old Debra L Browning on charges of first degree criminal abuse, second degree assault and domestic violence.
            The investigation began when the deputies were called to the Regional Medical Center Emergency Room where it was alleged that the victim, 77 year old Mary K Pittenger, had been assaulted by her daughter, which was also her caregiver.
            Due to the nature of Pittenger’s injuries she was flown to St. Mary’s Medical Center for further treatment.
            Browning is lodged in the Hopkins County Detention Center.
