Lane Restrictions on the Audubon Parkway Starting Tuesday

A contractor for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet plans daytime lane restrictions on the Audubon Parkway starting Tuesday, March 19, 2013, to start preparations for a summer rehab project.

These temporary daytime lane restrictions at Audubon Parkway mile point 14.5 and mile point 16.5 are for construction of median crossovers to eventually allow rehab work to start along the Audubon Parkway.  The rehab project planned in Daviess County between mile point 15.5 near the Green River Bridge and the U.S. 60 Interchange at mile point 24 at Owensboro is expected to start in a few weeks.

All traffic in these temporary work zones at mile point 14.5 and mile pint 16.5 will move to the right-hand or driving lane.  The work on these crossovers is expected to take about two days to complete.  Timely updates on traffic shifts and work zone configurations will be provided as the rehab work progresses in coming weeks.

Chester Bross Construction Company is the prime contractor on this $6.1 million highway improvement project.  The estimated completion date is September 1, 2013.
