More Charges Brought on Pair Arrested in McClean County Wednesday



            An investigation into an incident in McLean County Wednesday has brought new charges today (Friday) against the two that were initially arrested.
            Keith Alan McElvain and Derek Michael Tompkins were alleged to have assaulted a 67 year old man Wednesday Night in Sacramento.  The pair reportedly took two checkbooks and cash from the victim.
            The men fled from authorities as they arrived on the scene but were apprehended after they collided with another vehicle on Highway 81.
            They were initially charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence, fleeing or evading police, wanton endangerment and resisting arrest.
            Kentucky State Police on Friday also charged the pair with first degree robbery, second degree assault, third degree criminal mischief and tampering with physical evidence.
            They remain lodged at the Daviess County Detention Center.
