Nortonville Man Arrested Tuesday Attempting to Steal Anhydrous Ammonia



            A Nortonville man is under arrest after an early Tuesday morning charge of stealing anhydrous ammonia.
            According to the Hopkins County Sheriff’s Department, 35 year old Ty Gaston was seen at the Crop Production Services parking lot in Anton, allegedly carrying a fire extinguisher which was frosted.
            The deputy sheriff smelled a strong odor of anhydrous ammonia coming from the extinguisher.
            Gaston was arrested and charged with knowingly possessing anhydrous ammonia not in a proper container with intent to manufacture meth.  He was also served five outstanding bench warrants.
