A contractor plans milling and paving along US 231/New Hartford Road in DAVIESS County starting Thursday, July 5, 2012.

This project runs along US 231 starting at mile point 7.778 near the Burton Road intersection and running northerly to US 60/The Wendell Ford Expressway at mile point 11.294 in Owensboro, a distance of 3.52 miles.

This asphalt paving project is expected to take a couple of weeks to complete, weather permitting.

Yager Materials is the prime contractor on this $821,940 highway improvement project.

US 60/North Morgan Street will close in Morganfield for an extended period starting Friday, July 6, 2012.

This extended closure at US 60 mile point 16.5 in Union County will start at approximately 7:00 a.m., CDT, on Friday, July 6th, to allow construction of a new sewer line.  This is along US 60/North Morgan Street in the area of McElroy Street and Morton Street in Morganfield.
 
Marked detour routes will be provided as follows:

Eastbound through traffic on US 60 will detour right onto Eastbound KY 56 and follow Eastbound KY 56 for 0.935 miles to a left onto the US 60 Bypass Eastbound for 1.712 miles back onto US 60.

Westbound through traffic on US 60 will detour left onto the US 60 Morganfield Bypass Westbound and continue Westbound along the US 60 Bypass for 1.712 miles to a right turn onto KY 56 Westbound for 0.935 miles back onto US 60.

Eastbound traffic on KY 56 wanting to go Eastbound on US 60 will detour left onto the US 60 Bypass Eastbound and follow the US 60 Morganfield Bypass Eastbound for 1.712 miles back onto US 60.

Westbound traffic on KY 56 wanting to go Eastbound on US 60 will detour right onto US 60 Morganfield Bypass Eastbound and follow US 60 Morganfield Bypass Eastbound for 1.712 miles back onto US 60.

Southbound traffic on KY 130 wanting to go Westbound on US 60 will detour left onto US 60 Eastbound for 1.375 miles to a right turn onto the US 60 Morganfield Bypass Westbound and follow the US 60 Morganfield Bypass Westbound for 1.712 miles to a right onto KY 56 Westbound for 0.935 miles back onto US 60.

Southbound traffic on KY 359 wanting to go Westbound on US 60 will detour left onto US 60 Eastbound for 1.279 miles to right onto US 60 Bypass Westbound and follow US 60 Morganfield Bypass Westbound 1.712 miles to right onto KY 56 Westbound for 0.935 miles back onto US 60.
