The Transportation Cabinet plans to close KY 1179 in Union County during daylight hours starting Tuesday, December 11, 2012.
 
KY 1179 will be closed between KY 1180/Waverly Road at mile point 1.4 and KY 359 at mile point 4.2 for replacement of several failed cross drains.  This is along KY 1179 north of Riverview Mine.
 
This daytime closure is expected to be in place starting Tuesday and continuing daily through Friday, weather permitting.
 
KY 1179 will be closed each day starting at approximately 8:00 am., CST , following the morning bus run. The roadway is expecting to be reopened to traffic around 3:00 pm. Each day.

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet plans to close KY 758 east of Pride in Union County on Monday December 10,2012.
 
KY 758 will be closed east of the Pride Community between Boxfield Road at mile point 1.2 and Newport Road at mile point 2.1 for replacement of a failed cross drain.
 
KY 758 is expected to close at about 8:00 a.m., CST, following the morning school bus run. It is expected to reopen to traffic by about 3:00 p.m., Monday.
 
Passenger vehicles may choose to self-detour via Boxfield Road and Bob Brown Road.  Trucks should self-detour via appropriate state routes.

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet plans to close KY 947 west of Morganfield in UNION County on Thursday, December 6, 2012.
 
KY 947will be closed between KY 1594/Hilltop Road at mile point 4.3 and Hedge Road at mile point 6.1 for the replacement of two failed cross drains.
 
KY 947 will close at about 8:00 a.m., CST, following the morning school bus run.  It is expected to reopen to traffic by about 3:00 p.m.
 
Motorists who regularly travel this section of KY 947 should make advance alternate travel plans.
