Shooting Incident in Evansville Wednesday Leads to Arrest
Evansville Police reports the arrest of a man following a shooting incident Wednesday night. Just before 10:30pm, officers investigated shots fired in the 1200 block of South Roosevelt. Their investigation led them to find 23 year old Vashon Sherman. He allegedly had been arguing with his girlfriend, Apollonia Nelson. As she was leaving in her car, Sherman allegedly fired a shot into the back windshield. Officers also learned that Nelson’s six year old son was in the back seat of the car. Neither were injured. Sherman was arrested for two counts of criminal recklessness and one count of possession of a handgun without a permit.
