Sunday Morning Hit and Run in Henderson County Leads to Arrest
A hit and run in Henderson County early this (Sunday) morning has led to an arrest.
Henderson County Sheriff’s deputies were alerted to a vehicle striking another on US 41-A. Deputies were able to locate a vehicle matching the description of the one that fled in Henderson at Hancock and South Green Streets.
The driver, 27 year old Robert Skinner of Madisonville, was identified as the operator of the vehicle in the hit and run, as well as having alleged marijuana and Hydrocodone inside the vehicle.
He was charged with leaving the scene of an accident, failure to produce insurance, operating a vehicle under the influence (with aggravating circumstances), possession of controlled substance and possession of marijuana.
No injuries were reported in the initial, near head on collision.
Skinner was lodged In the Henderson County Detention Center.
