An Elkton police officer has been charged following an undercover operation Thursday night.
            According to Kentucky State Police, they received information the officer made an alleged attempt to buy narcotics while on duty.  That led to an undercover operation where 44 year old Russell L Morris was arrested and charged with first degree official misconduct, trafficking in a controlled substance, and possession of a synthetic cannabinoid agonist.   The last two charges were firearm enhanced.
            Russell was lodged at the Muhlenberg County Detention Center.
