Two Arrested on Theft Charges in Henderson Wednesday



            Two men were arrested after attempting to sell alleged stolen items in Henderson Wednesday.
            Just after 2:00pm, Henderson Police went to Audubon Loans on North Green Street where 18 year old Joshua Phillips and 18 year old Joshua Mercado, both of Boonville, Indiana, attempted to sell items that were reported stolen out of Warrick County.  The items included a firearm that reportedly had a serial number tampered with.
            Both men were charged with receiving stolen property under ten thousand dollars and defacing a firearm.  Both were lodged in the Henderson County Jail.
            Detectives from the Henderson Police Department and Warrick County Sheriff’s department are working on the ongoing investigation.
