WRECK ON PENNYRILE WEDNESDAY INJURES TWO, CAUSES TRAFFIC PROBLEMS
Thursday, March 11, 2010
Traffic on the Pennyrile Parkway in Madisonville was a mess yesterday afternoon due to a truck overturning.
State Police says 50 year old Mark Tucker of Powderly was hauling a load of scrap metal on a flatbed trailer. He lost control of the truck and struck a guardrail on the east side of the road, crossed both lanes and jackknifed in the median. The truck rolled onto its side dumping the contents of his load onto the parkway.
A piece of metal struck a trailing car, driven by 48 year old Scottie R. Sacre of Louisville. He was not injured. Tucker, and a passenger, 44 year old Michael Wells, of Powderly, were transported to Regional Medical Center.
