Construction on US 62 Turn Lanes in Greenville Start Monday
A contractor for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet has started preliminary work for construction of new turn lanes at the US 62/KY 181 Intersection and US 62/KY 171 Intersection in Muhlenberg County.
Work zone activities at these intersections is expected to ramp up over the next week to include regular lane restrictions with traffic flow controlled by flaggers around July 2nd.
Motorists who regularly travel through the US 62/KY 181 Intersection and the US 62/KY 171 Intersection at Greenville should be alert for equipment, flaggers, and construction personnel working in close proximity to traffic flow.
This project is along US 62 at mile point 9.806 and mile point 10.398. This is at KY 181 mile point 11.881 and KY 171 mile point 12.572.
Charbon Contracting, LLC, is the prime contractor on this $2,665,995 highway improvement project. The expected completion date is December 15th.
