Alcohol Believed to be Factor in Sunday Crash in Daviess County



            Alcohol is reported to be a factor in a one vehicle injury crash in Daviess County early Sunday morning.
            According to the Daviess County Sheriff’s Department, 23 year old Andrew Derington of Owensboro was on Wrights Landing Road.  He reportedly failed to stop at a stop sign and went off the road and overturned into a ditch.
            Derrington had to be extricated from the vehicle before being air lifted to St. Mary’s Hospital.
            Two passengers, 23 year old Roger Greathouse, Jr. and 24 year old Jeffery Love, both of Owensboro were not injured in the 7:16am crash.
            The Daviess County Sheriff’s Department reports a toxicology report will be pending.
