Hopkinsville Man Arrested Thursday for Impersonating an Officer
An arrest was made Thursday in Christian County after authorities found a man trying to pass as a member of the Tennessee Fish and Wildlife.
Steven Lewis Renfroe was fund at the Indian Hills Restaurant allegedly dressed in a fish and wildlife law enforcement uniform, complete with duty belt, handgun, handcuffs, magazine pouches with loaded magazines for the handgun.
Officers asked for law enforcement identification which Renfroe could not produce.
He was arrested and lodged at the Christian County Detention Center on a charge of impersonating a peace officer.
Hopkinsville Police asks that anyone that may have come into contact with Renfroe while acting as a law enforcement officer to call them or the Tennessee Fish and Wildlife Law Enforcement Division.
