A Daviess County inmate has new charges after an incident Monday morning.
According to the Daviess County Sheriff’s Office, 20 year old Michael Padgett had been charged with first degree promoting contraband.Reports say he was being transported form the Sheriff’s office to the Judicial Center when information led authorities to find Padgett had a four by six piece of steel wrapped in a sock. He had allegedly confessed that he had planned to attack the bailiff and escape.
