The Todd County maintenance crew is beginning the emergency slide repair work today on KY 507 with the installation of barrier wall along the slide area that has been closed for several weeks. Once the failed material is excavated, rock fill will be installed to stabilize this area of the roadway. One lane will continue to remain open with temporary traffic signals in place during the duration of the repair work.
Motorists are encouraged to seek alternate routes, if possible. This route will be heavily traveled by dump trucks during the repair work. This project is expected to take approximately 6 weeks to complete with paving of the affected area to follow the reconstruction of the roadbed.
