Two people escaped injury after a plane crash in Todd County this (Tuesday) morning. Kentucky State Police was notified just after 9:30am by the Todd County Sheriff’s office that an aircraft had crashed on Highway 181 north of Elkton. The 1946 Aeronca 7AC, piloted by 69 year old Roger Pointer of Maxwell, Iowa, had left Florida, enroute to Iowa, when it experienced mechanical difficulties. As the plane attempted to land on the road, it left the road and landed in a field. Pointer, and a passenger, 52 year old Michael Callison, of Des Moines, Iowa, were not injured. KSP reports the FAA will be continuing the investigation.
