Hopkins County School Board Decides on One New Vocational School



          THE HOPKINS COUNTY BOARD OF EDUCATION HAS DECIDED TO HAVE ONE NEW VOCATIONAL SCHOOL. 

          THE CHOICE OF HAVING A VOCATIONAL SCHOOL AT EACH HIGH SCHOOL WAS VOTED DOWN.  IT IS NOW UP TO THE BOARD TO DECIDE A LOCATION WITH APPROVAL BY THE STATE, SINCE THE VOCATIONAL SITE JUST OFF THE PENNYRILE PARKWAY HAS BEEN ABANDONED. 

          ALSO LAST NIGHT, ASSISTANT SUPERINTENDANT SHERRI WINSTEAD SAID THAT THE NEW "STOP" TIP LINE WOULD BE READY NEXT WEEK.  THE TIP LINE WOULD BE ON THE SCHOOL WEBSITE AND WILL GIVE PARENTS AND STUDENTS THE OPPORTUNITY TO REPORT ON BULLYING, VIOLENCE, DRUGS, OR SEXUAL ABUSE AT SCHOOL.
