Madisonville Council Heard First Reading of Changes to Alcoholic Beverage Ordinances.



     THE MADISONVILLE CITY COUNCIL CONDUCTED FIRST READING OF CHANGES TO THE ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGE ORDINANCES.  ONE OF THE CHANGES WOULD ALLOW LIQUOR BY THE DRINK AT THE BALLARD CONVENTION CENTER.  THE OTHER MAIN CHANGE IS TO CONFORM WITH THE NEW STATE LAW THAT ALLOWS LIQUOR SALES WHILE THE POLLS ARE OPEN ON ELECTION DAY.
     ANOTHER FIRST READING WAS OF AN ORDINANCE ALLOWING A 3 YEAR LICENSE OF PRIVATE PICK UP OF COMMERCIAL SANITATION.
     AND THERE WAS A REPORT FROM A LEADERSHIP HOPKINS COUNTY GROUP ON A PLAN TO CLEAN UP AND IMPROVE GRAPEVINE LAKE.
