Restrictions Coming to KY 85 Green River Bridge

A contractor for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet plans to place a lane and load width restriction on the KY 85 Green River Bridge at the McLean-Ohio County Line starting Monday, December 2, 2013.

This lane and width restriction is to allow joint and deck repair work on the bridge.  Trucks in this work zone will be restricted to a 12 ft. maximum load width.

Traffic will be restricted to one lane with alternating flow controlled by an automated signal.  Appropriate caution is required where equipment, flaggers, and construction personnel are on the bridge deck in close proximity to traffic flow.

The KY 85 Green River Bridge is at McLean County mile point 12.33 and Ohio County mile point 0.0.

T & C Contracting, Inc, is the prime contractor on this $199,764 bridge maintenance and repair project.  The work is expected to be completed by January 15, 2014, weather permitting.

About 1300 vehicles cross the KY 85 Green River Bridge in an average day.
