Several Injury Crashes Reported over Weekend in Area

            Emergency crews had to contend with several injury crashes over the weekend.
            Saturday night, KSP reported a one vehicle crash on Highway 949 in Dunmor, where Richard Hayes tried to swerve to miss several deer in the road.  He struck one of them, causing his vehicle to go off the road and struck a tree.
            Hayes was treated for his injuries at Muhlenberg Community Hospital.
            A day before, Christopher Knight of Paducah was on the Western Kentucky Parkway near Central City when he lost control of his car, landed in the median, then off the road.  He, too, struck a tree and was treated at Muhlenberg Community Hospital.
            And in Christian County Saturday, Cynthia Tharp of Smithton, Illinois was on I-24 around the 81 mile marker when she veered onto the left shoulder and struck several construction cones.  She vehicle then struck a concrete pad, causing the vehicle to overturn and rest on its top.
            She, and a passenger, were transported to Gateway Medical Center in Clarksville for their injuries.
