Driver Arrested after Injury Crash Saturday in Daviess County
A one vehicle crash in Daviess County Saturday night led to an injury and an arrest. According to Kentucky State Police, 34 year old Venessa Cowan of Amelia, Ohio was on the Wendell Ford Expressway, approaching the East Parrish Avenue overpass when she swerved to avoid what she believed to be a collision with a merging vehicle. She lost control and landed in the median. A juvenile passenger was transported to Owensboro Health with non-life threatening injuries. Cowan was arrested and charged with operating a motor vehicle on a suspended license and failure to maintain insurance, among other charges. She was lodged in the Daviess County Detention Center.
