Bond Approved to Begin Construction of New Hopkins County Tech School



     THE HOPKINS COUNTY BOARD OF EDUCATION HAS APPROVED THE ISSUANCE OF 6.64 MILLION IN REVENUE BONDS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE NEW CAREER AND TECHNICAL SCHOOL.  CONSTRUCTION IS EXPECTED TO BEGIN LATER THIS SUMMER.  THE OUTCOME OF THE LAWSUIT OVER THE OLD VOCATIONAL SCHOOL CONSTRUCTION IS STILL UNCLEAR.
     ALSO AT YESTERDAY’S MEETING, IT WAS ANNOUNCED THAT RICK SNODGRASS HAS BEEN NAMED PRINCIPAL AT HOPKINS COUNTY CENTRAL HIGH SCHOOL.  SNODGRASS WAS SERVING THERE AS ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL FOR THE LAST 5 YEARS.
