Road Bid Awarded for Upgrades to I-69 Corridor in Hopkins, Webster, Henderson Counties
Another section of the I-69 corridor will be getting improvements soon. The governor’s office today (Tuesday) announced that Hall Contracting was awarded the nearly 12 million dollar bid. The new project will see a 36.4 mile stretch of the current Breathitt-Pennyrile Parkway become Interstate ready. The section covers part of Hopkins, Webster and Henderson Counties. The fixes include pavement rehabilitation, new lighting, reconstructing ramps, widening overpass bridges and fixing vertical clearance issues on some overpass structures. The contract has a completion date of August 1, 2015.
