Hopkins County Grand Jury Returns Murder Indictment
A Grand Jury indictment has been returned in the case from earlier this month after a man died in a fire in Manitou. 45 year old Douglas Ross Simmons was charged with murder, first degree burglary and first degree arson. The charges come after the investigation began on July 5 after 51 year old James H Simmons was found dead at 3200 Roscoe Veazey Road following a fire at the residence. The Hopkins County Sheriff’s Department is still investigating the case.
